The prices quoted include VAT and hull insurance, exclusive of fuel.
Lessor
Camper Adventures Transilvania lsr, established in Cluj-Napoca on 12/01/2021, trading under the name Camper Adventures Romania, hereinafter referred to as ‘the lessor’.
Powered by Campercentrum Nederland, trading under the name Volkswagen Campercentrum Nederland B.V., established in Amersfoort (NL).
Lessee
The lessee must be at least 21 years old and have a minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
A valid driver’s license and passport must be presented at the time of vehicle collection. Copies of these documents will be retained by the lessor.
By making a reservation, the lessee consents to the verification of personal data.
Rental period
The minimum rental period of a campervan in the high season is 7 nights.
This starts on Saturday afternoon after 15:00 hours and ends on Saturday morning before 10:00 hours. If the camper is returned after 10:00 am, additional rental charges will be applied. These will be deducted from the deposit.
Free mileage
Free mileage limitation applies in Romania. Outside of Romania, the number of free kilometres is 1,500 per week. Above that, a surcharge of €0.25/km applies.
Deposit
For the rental campervan, a deposit of €500 is applicable. The deposit must be paid before departure. The deposit will be returned to the lessee at the end of the rental period and transferred to the lessee’s bank account no later than seven days after the campervan has been returned.
Smoking
Smoking is not allowed in the campervan.
Crossing borders
Crossing all European borders is allowed, except for the Ukrainian border. See Free Mileage for more information.
Reservation and Payment
A reservation request can be made by completing the reservation form, signing the rental contract, and submitting it to the lessor. The booking is only confirmed if the payment conditions are met.
Limitation of Liability
The lessor is not liable for any damage, loss, delay, or costs arising from the booking, the use of the campervan, or any other circumstances, except in cases of intent or gross negligence by the lessor. This includes, but is not limited to, technical issues with the campervan, accidents, weather conditions, force majeure, or the lessee’s personal belongings. Certain operational issues, including scheduling or vehicle availability, are considered normal business practice and do not constitute intent or gross negligence. There is no obligation for compensation or to provide a replacement vehicle.
Insurance, damages and excess
The insurance costs are included in the rental price.

The own risk in case of damage is €500 per event.
€500 per incident and for overhead damages, with an own risk of €1,500 per incident.
Any damage or theft must be reported to the lessor as soon as possible, but no later than 24 hours.
Any repairs will only be carried out with the permission of the lessor.
At the end of the rental period, the rental campervan will be inspected by the lessor. Any damage, missing parts, or not replenished fuel will be deducted from the deposit.
In case the vehicle cannot be repaired, Camper Adventures Romania will help the lessee find a solution. There is no replacement vehicle available. Depending on the situation and cause, the booking costs can be partially refunded.
Use of vehicle
No illegal activities, racing, or off-road use beyond vehicle capabilities (especially since the T4 is not 4×4).
Collecting the rental campervan
When taking possession of the rental campervan, the lessee will receive a detailed explanation of the various components of the campervan. Pickup is possible between 15:00 and 20:00 hours.
Vehicle condition
The campervan is roadworthy, clean, and maintained in good working order. The lessee is responsible for returning it in the same condition (cleaned, fuel full, waste emptied). Any pre-existing damage will be recorded before departure.
Returning the rental campervan
The interior of the campervan and the toilet cassette must be cleaned, and the waste water tank emptied upon return (by 10:00 hours at the latest).
It is not possible to clean the motorhome at the drop-off location. The campervan must also be returned with a full fuel tank. Should this not be the case, the lessor is entitled to charge the lessee for cleaning and/or fuel costs against the deposit.
Travel documents
In addition to standard documents such as the vehicle registration certificate and green card, a comprehensive instruction manual for the campervan will be provided.
The lessee is responsible for a valid driver’s license to drive in Romania.
Cancellation
The lessee may cancel the booking by notifying the lessor in writing (email or signed notice).
Cancellation charges are as follows:
The downpayment is non-refundable and counts toward the applicable cancellation charge.
The date of cancellation is deemed the date on which the lessor receives written notice.
No rescheduling of the rental period is permitted unless explicitly agreed in writing by the lessor.
